چکیده

The increased interest in the study of growth-regulating activity triterpene glycosides (TG) recent years is largely due to need create new highly effective environmentally friendly plant growth biostimulants, use which considered as an important strategy managing productivity and stress resistance agricultural crops. Тhe review presents information available literature on phytoregulatory TG with emphasis their growth-stimulating properties. physiological effects bioassays phytohormonal are considered. auxin- gibberellin- cytokinin-like effect metabolism (changes enzymes: α-amylase, peroxidase, catalase, polyphenol oxidase, IAA nitrate reductase, chlorophyll protein content), was shown depending structure TG, concentration tested plant. issues mechanism action possible involvement free triterpenes processes plants discussed. relationships between analyzed. exogenous triterpenoids under abiotic stresses, well possibility using some extracts saponin-bearing (Сamellia sp., Silphium perfoliatum, Medicago sativa, Glycine max, Vigna radiata, Glycyrrhiza glabra, Moringa oleifera, Solidago gigantea, Centella asiatica, Eclipta alba, Quillaja saponaria, Bacopa monnieri et al.) containing (Abies sibirica, Betula sp.) crop production regulators,

Sunflower morphology and yield as affected by foliar applications of plant growth regulators

Plant height of sunflower is a major agronomic trait affecting crop performance in the field and its adaptation to mechanical harvest. Field experiments were conducted to study the effect of foliar application of paclobutrazol (PBZ) at 12.5 g ai/ha, mepiquat chloride (MPC) at 25.0 g ai/ha and chlormequat chloride (CCC) at 1,500 g ai/ha in single or double applications on sunflower plant mor...

Plant Growth Regulators

Plant growth regulators are hormone-like chemicals that occur naturally in plants, and play a central role in their growth and development. Five major classes of plant growth regulators have been identified as plant hormones, but scientists believe that there are more waiting to be discovered. The five growth hormones include auxins, gibberellins, cytokinins, abscisic acid, and ethylene. Collec...

Potential use of Iranian rhizobial strains as plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) and effects of selected strains on growth characteristics of wheat, corn and alfalfa

Abstract Many agricultural researches have been performed to improve soil productivity. Nitrogen (N) and Phosphorus (P) are essential elements which are utilized by the plants in large amounts. Phosphorus can be provided by applying chemical fertilizers. Microorganisms convert insoluble phosphate to the soluble form and some bacteria such as rhizobacteria play an important role in this proces...

Cotton Radiation Use Efficiency Response to Plant Growth Regulators

Plant growth regulators (PGRs) are a common and widely used practice in cotton production for controlling plant growth, increasing yield, and improving management efficiency. Most of the PGRs used have an effect on plant growth, both vegetative and reproductive, and dry matter partitioning. However, there have been no reports of effects of PGRs on radiation use efficiency (RUE). It is logical t...

Four new triterpene glycosides from Thalictrum squarrosum.

Four new triterpene glycosides were isolated from the dried aerial parts of Thalictrum squarrosum (Ranunculaceae). They were designated as squarroside I, being a cycloartane-type glycoside, and squarrosides II, III and IV, being oleanene-type glycosides. Their structures were established by using two dimensional (2D) NMR techniques.
